Behold, our God is Alpha:

The beginning, the Genesis, the End of the Old, the Start of the New; Let our God be praised.

Behold, our God is Birth:

The Womb, the Labor, the First Breath taken, the Cry of New Lungs; Let our God be glorified!

Behold, our God is Youth:

The Test, the Growing, the Desire for Freedom, the Need for Restraint; Let our God be praised!

Behold, our God is Age:

The Walk, the Changing, the Wisdom of the Past, the Hope of the Future; Let our God be glorified!

Behold, our God is Death:

The Letting Go, the Brilliant Light, the Departure from One World, the Destination of the Next; Let our God be praised!

Behold, our God is Omega:

The End, the Revelation, the Beginning of the New, the Finish of the Old; Let our God be glorified!

CALL TO CONFESSION               (Please Be Seated)

We fear God that we are not in control.  We fear that our future is more than we can handle.  We fear that there will not be enough.  We fear that we will be left alone.  We fear that things will change in ways we do not want.  God we confess that we are afraid even though you have repeatedly told us not to be afraid.

RESPONSE 446 (Vs. 1)             How Blest, Those Whose Transgressions      MEIRIONYDD

How blest, those whose transgressions have freely been forgiven;

whose guilt is wholly covered before the sight of heaven.

Blest, those to whom our Lord God will not impute their sin:

whose guilt has been forgiven; whose hearts, made true again.

*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH (In Unison)                                                 Brian Miller (modified)

We believe in God the Creator, who created the world, was faithful when we were not, and who continuously seeks to redeem the world.

We believe in God the Son, Jesus Christ, who chose to be humbled by becoming human and moving into our neighborhood; was sent by the Creator to give us life; embodied and taught the righteous love of God; and who, though he knew no sin, became sin and was put to death on a cross.

We believe that three days later, Jesus Christ was raised from the dead by the power of God; was seen in bodily form by his disciples.

We believe that the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus gives us victory over any form of sin and brokenness and allows us to know the full love of God for the world.

We believe in God the Holy Spirit, who actively works in our lives, giving us grace to be like Jesus, and sends us to show God’s love for the world.

Our Creator, in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your Dominion come. Your Will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  And do not let us fall into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the dominion, the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
