Blanket Sunday

Church World Service Blanket Sunday

February 15, 2026

We can help victims of tornadoes, floods, earthquakes and other disasters by giving money for blankets, emergency food & shelter.  Other people struggle with crushing poverty. Let’s teach them sustainable farming practices & help with access to clean, safe water.  Please write your checks to First Presbyterian Church, write "blankets" on the memo line.

Thank you from your mission committee.

Lenten Study

Lenten Bible Study

When: Wed., February 25th-Wed., April 1st

Where: First Presbyterian Church of Niles

Time: 10am-11am

This six-week study will take us on a journey through Lent. “In Meeting Jesus on the Road", readers are invited to journey alongside Christ through the Gospel stories that define his earthly path. Gathering a group of disciples around him, Jesus travelled the region, teaching, healing, and proclaiming that the reign of God is at hand. He met them all with compassion. He brought them hope. From the Jordan River to the hills of Galilee and beyond, Jesus calls us-like the first disciples-to follow, listen, question, and grow.

Designed as a spiritual journey from the First Sunday in Lent to Easter, this Lenten study offers a meaningful way to engage the season through Scripture, reflection, and walking. Throughout, readers will learn that faith is not a sedentary thing, but a relationship with God that grows and changes over a lifetime. With pastoral insight, authors Cynthia Campbell and Christine Coy Fohr thoughtfully guide readers along the road.

Please use the sign-up sheet in the parlor hallway or call the church office to order a book by February 8th and plan to join us on the adventurous study!

Collection for Berrien County Cancer Service

For the Berrien County Cancer Service, we are collecting bottles of Ensure and Boost. This is very helpful to cancer patients. This is an ongoing mission. If you would like to help, just place them in our Homeless shelter box in our church hallway. REAP is also making caps for chemo patients which we will deliver at the same time. If you want to help sew them, let Cheri Rissman know.
