General Information
Our Christian library is a subcommittee of the Christian Education Committee. Our goal is to provide a comfortable, peaceful environment with materials that inspire, teach and entertain. This library’s adult scope is mostly religious nonfiction, but there is a small section of fiction and of biographies. Children’s books are separated into three sections: Picture/Easy Reader, Juvenile/Independent Reader, and Young Adult (next to adult fiction).
The Library operates on an honor system and is open whenever the building is open. If you choose not to check out a book, we ask that you carefully reshelf it. To check out a book, just write your name and phone number on the card that is inside the pocket on the cover and leave the card in the box on the library table. There is a book return basket in the library and on the tables in the main hallway. There is no specific check out time for most books, but 2-3 weeks is suggested. Please keep other church members in mind when you have a book checked out. A small selection is marked 2-week, and we ask that reference books remain in the church.
