There are lots of activities and opportunities for youth of all ages at First Pres. In addition to the Jr/Sr High Youth Groups, Vacation Bible School, and Arts in the Park, youth have planned and led worship for the congregation, enjoyed a Christian Rock concert on the front lawn, had Breakfast with the Pastor Sunday mornings, and of course, planned and presented the Christmas Program. You don't have to be a member of the youth group, or even a member of the church to join in the activities. Everyone is invited!

The Big Mission Trip

Each year the junior and senior high youth groups embark on a mission trip to a community in the US that really needs their help. These are true mission trips to help those who have asked for assistance. Although the accommodations are spartan (often involving sleeping bags on a church floor), the sightseeing is modest (what can be seen from the bus window), and the weather may be hot and humid, the labor is hard, the friendships are for life, and God's world is improved just a little bit. What better way to spend a "vacation?"
