A Moment of Reflection
Chuck Kiell
I have been
asked to speak about what this church means to me.
I came to
this church 19 years ago, when I was dating Pat. She
would come down on the weekends from Grand Rapids, and we would come here to church.
Approximately
seven months after we got married, I had a ruptured
appendix and almost died. The Pastors at that time were Clayton Fairo and Jim Goodbow. They made many visits and the congregation accepted
me even though I wasn’t a member.
They accepted me as part of this family.
Many prayers were said on my behalf and because
of this I’m still here today.
It was because
of this outpouring of love that I became a member of
this church. Since then, I am a Deacon and a member of the
choir. This is my family.
Psalms 92:1,2,4 states “It is
good to praise the Lord and make music to Your name, O Most High, to proclaim
Your love in the morning and Your faithfulness at night… For You
make me glad by Your deeds, O Lord, I sing for joy at the works of Your hands.”
