Review from Creator Magazine
"Not for the “faint of heart,” this remarkable Lenten work of 110 pages is taken from the writings of Julian of Norwich (1342-1416), and these writings are as up-to-date as today’s newspaper—and a lot more positive! This work draws on Julian’s reflections on life, love, and light. This is not an easy work! It will require a very fine organist, and though optional, the strings really complete the concept of the work. The choral writing is very nice--not too difficult that the medium-ability choir could conquer it in time for the Lenten Season.
The Prelude is outstanding—fresh, exciting and sets the mood. Living Prayer is simple and beautiful—a cappella with Alto solo. This one is a stand-alone piece that will work for any service. Lead Us into Fullness of Joy may be the most difficult in this work. It is in 6/8 time, allegro, with some rhythmic tricks that must be mastered early in the learning process. Once learned, this piece will simply fly off the page."
